About This Event
WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation is going to establish a “Mushroom Production & Training Centre” in Khunti District on 23 May 2026 with the objective of generating rural employment, promoting self-employment, and empowering farmers and youth towards self-reliance.
This initiative will serve as an important step toward sustainable rural development by providing modern and scientific mushroom cultivation training to rural youth, women, farmer groups, and self-help groups. The centre aims to encourage communities to adopt mushroom farming as a profitable and low-cost livelihood opportunity alongside traditional agriculture.
Participants will receive practical and technical training covering the complete mushroom production process, including seed preparation, compost and substrate preparation, temperature and humidity management, production techniques, packaging, storage, and market linkage development.
Special focus will be given to empowering rural women and unemployed youth by helping them create income-generating opportunities from home and strengthen their financial stability. Through skill-based training and self-employment opportunities, the initiative seeks to reduce unemployment and migration in rural areas.
WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation has been actively working in the fields of education, healthcare, women empowerment, skill development, and rural livelihood promotion. The establishment of this Mushroom Production & Training Centre reflects the organization’s commitment to building a self-reliant, economically empowered, and sustainable rural society.
