Menstrual Hygiene and Women’s Health Awareness Program at Middle School Dulmi, Sonahatu

A Menstrual Hygiene and Women’s Health Awareness Program was successfully organized at Middle School Dulmi under Sonahatu Block, Ranchi District by WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation. The initiative aimed to educate adolescent girls and women about menstrual hygiene, dispel myths, and promote overall women’s health awareness.

A Menstrual Hygiene and Women’s Health Awareness Program was successfully conducted at Middle School Dulmi under Sonahatu Block, Ranchi District. The primary objective of the program was to raise awareness among adolescent girls and women about menstrual hygiene and to eliminate the stigma and misconceptions associated with menstruation.

The session was led by Block Coordinator Ganga Puran and Panchayat Mahila Mitra Sabita, who guided the participants on maintaining hygiene during menstruation, using safe and quality sanitary products, changing pads regularly, and ensuring proper personal care. They emphasized that menstruation is a natural biological process and should not be treated with shame or hesitation.

During the awareness session, important discussions were also held on uterine health issues, breast cancer, and cervical cancer. Participants were informed about early symptoms, preventive measures, and the importance of timely medical check-ups. The session highlighted that early detection and regular health monitoring can significantly reduce health risks and improve outcomes.

Sanitary pads were distributed among all participants to encourage safe and hygienic menstrual management practices. This initiative helped boost the confidence of girls and women, motivating them to take better care of their health and well-being.

The program served not only as a health awareness activity but also as a step toward empowering women and adolescent girls with knowledge, confidence, and the ability to make informed decisions about their health.
