Health Awareness Training Program for Sahiya Workers

A special health awareness training program was organized in Karra Block of Khunti District by WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation, where Sahiya workers were trained on Uterus, Breast, and Cervical Cancer awareness to help them educate women at the grassroots level.

WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation organized a dedicated health awareness training program in Karra Block of Khunti District with the objective of strengthening community-level health awareness. The program focused on training Sahiya workers so that they can effectively spread awareness among women in their respective Panchayats and villages.

During the training, participants were provided with detailed information on Uterus (uterine health), Breast Cancer, and Cervical Cancer. The session was conducted by Jaycinta Gudiya, who explained the early symptoms, preventive measures, importance of timely screening, and treatment options in a simple and practical manner.

Special emphasis was given to Breast Cancer awareness. The Sahiya workers were trained on how to perform Self Breast Examination, recognize warning signs such as lumps, pain, or unusual changes, and encourage women to seek medical attention at the right time. The importance of regular health check-ups was also highlighted.

In addition, participants were introduced to the Arogya Breast Cancer App, developed by 1NGO Trust. The app enables women to access information about breast cancer, assess symptoms at an early stage, and seek timely medical guidance. A step-by-step demonstration of the app was provided so that Sahiya workers can further guide women in their communities to use it effectively.

The main objective of the program was to ensure that accurate and timely health information reaches rural women, enabling early detection and prevention of serious diseases like breast and cervical cancer.

WCSF CharitySpirit Foundation remains committed to promoting health awareness and empowering communities through continuous training and outreach programs, ensuring that essential health knowledge reaches even the most remote areas.
