A large-scale Women Violence Awareness Campaign was successfully conducted in various villages of Dumargadi, Chhata, and Karra Panchayats under Karra Block of Khunti District. The primary objective of this initiative was to create awareness among rural women and adolescent girls about the different forms of violence faced by women in society, including domestic, social, mental, economic, and emotional violence. The campaign also focused on educating women about their legal and social rights and motivating them to raise their voices against injustice.

During the campaign, interactive meetings were organized with women and adolescent girls, where it was clearly explained that violence is not limited to physical abuse alone, but also includes psychological, economic, and social exploitation. The participants were encouraged to understand that speaking out against violence is their right and that silence only strengthens injustice. Open discussions created a safe space for women to share their experiences and concerns without fear or hesitation.

Panchayat-level Mahila Mitras played a highly active and commendable role in the campaign. Preeti Kashyap, Dasmi Barra, and Jayashinta Guriya visited villages and directly interacted with women, building trust and confidence within the community. They assured women that they are not alone in facing violence and that support systems are available. Information related to legal aid, women helpline numbers, Panchayat-level assistance, and administrative support was shared in detail. Women were also guided on how to seek safe and timely help during crisis situations.

Through this initiative, a noticeable increase in confidence was observed among the participating women. Many of them shared their problems openly for the first time and expressed relief in knowing that their voices matter and that concrete efforts are being made to ensure their safety and dignity. The campaign helped foster a sense of solidarity and collective strength among rural women.
